YOU LORD ARE THERE (PSALM 77) (CCLI 4434289)

1. Are You there?
Lord, hear my plea.
Hear my cry for help
as I lift my hands to Thee.
Be there, O Lord.

Hear my pain.
Mem 'ries plague my soul:
thoughts of better days —
of times so long ago —
when You were there.

Will You return
Your love unto me?
Or am I now damned
to hell's agony?

2. Yet my hope
is based on this.
In times of trouble, Lord, —
in times of deep distress —
You, Lord, were there.

So my thoughts
now dwell on You.
All the deeds You've done:
Your love is always true.
You, Lord, are there.

Through Your great love,
our lives are restored.
What god is as great,
as great as You, Lord!

3. Hear me, Lord.
I pray to Thee —
in the knowledge that
You are always there for me.
You, Lord, are there!
