BE WITH ME, O SOVEREIGN GOD (PSALM 109)

1. Be with me, O Sovereign God.
Save me in Your mercy and care.
Lord, my heart is wounded within me,
and my spirit fades in despair.

Refrain

Yet, I know my God,
and I know You hear my prayer.
Yes, I know my God.
In my trials, You are there!

2. Though I am surrounded by hate —
evil tongues spit lies about me.
Yet will God take vengeance against them:
damn them in their sins, iniquity.

3. Though I may be cursed, yet I'm blessed,
as my foes are put into shame.
All will know of Your love, my Lord God,
as I praise and lift up Your name!
